Ceramics: Textures

I started really loving the wipe on/wipe off technique and decided to go all in with texture and impressions.  This lead me to make some little things I called yurts.  Only a few came out that I didn't think were totally ugly (a very common thing in ceramics) and I used what I liked about them to continue making more functional pieces...stay tuned for those.
slab built body with hand formed flowers on the roof

front and back for luminary yurt made with farmy doodads and mason stain mixed with glaze

one side of my first lidded jar, about 10" tall
I used the tip of a glass cutter, nails, metal rings, lath ends, pad lock shackle, and more.
